Apologies if not the right forum.

If I buy a 2nd hand dinghy in the UK and bring it back to Ireland on a ferry via a car trailer or car top, would Irish customs stop me looking for their cut? Or so they not bother so much with private car owners?

If I wanted to import the dinghy officially what would the process be?

    Thanks in advance!

I'd pay one of the northern boys to drop it to my door. Did it with a ski no problem, wasn't that expensive.

Make sure to book a trailer / tall roof going over from Ireland also so you can show you already owned the dinghy.
