If you are just looking for a bigger hard drive, why not just buy a bigger HD and install it yourself.

I seem to remember people quoting that they got €200-€210 towards a new console. May have changer since then(this was around the time of slim launch).

Thanks for the info. I would replace the hard drive but I am looking to buy a limited edition bundle. Do you have to supply the original packaging when trading the console in.

I may try HMV or Xtravision as they seem to be the best value wise.

Might want to try Game and Gamestop too. Sometimes they give great prices on used consoles.
Ring them all first and then make up your mind.

i got 160 i think for a 40gig phat
threw in a few old games aswell,
got a slim and new 12 month warranty, for 102 euros !
that was gamestop in ennis, i rang them first, they were able tell me straight way what i'd get for the old ps3

I presume you mean for €102 extra on top of your trade in !!!

Id say get a bigger hard drive for your current one

nothing extra - they'll just give you the 60GB price as that is the machine.
Do you have the original 60GB drive? If so put that back before you trade in.

I'd say you might get around €120 store credit, i enquired about trading in a phat psp 1st generation and I got offered €65 for it which is a good price So it is worth a try.

My son tried in two gamestops to trade in his excellent condition barely used 60gb PS3. All cables and manuals and the controller. The store credit offer was 18 Euro in both stores.

So having bought it originally for him I've now re-bought it from him. We can use it as a blueray player maybe Oh well. We both prefer XBox anyway.
