Doherty just roared to Coughlan "We all heard you talking on BBC about how great it is that people are leaving Ireland!"

Does anybody know what programme she said that on?

Doherty's only 33 and Sinn Féin finance spokesperson for less than a week! His speech against emigration will strike a cord with a shedload of Irish people now, who are being left with few alternatives now.

You'd think he'd need a drink of water at this stage! Even the Duracell Bunny would be floored by now.

Mary was on her phone texting her booty call. She'll bounce soon enough.

Anyways who gives a fúck that Pearse ain't offering alternatives. He's getting to say a lot of the shíte the average Irish person would love to say to the Dáil and on tv.
You would you vote for someone whose policy is "down with this sort of thing" but has no way of actually going forward?

And he still has a few pages to get through. Why is Biffo and Lenihan not there to see this debate through. People may talk about the disrepect pierce is showing to mary and the house, but what about the disrespect the other party representives are showing by not staying to see the session through.

Not a word about how he plans to cut the deficit and raise the cash for his plans. Of course Sinn Fein will never overtly say they want to raise corporation tax to 25% and plan on expropriating the gas fields from shell. Then get down and dirty with their Venezualan brosefs.

Think Sinn Fein will be getting my vote. There is two partys left in the Dail at the moment, and I hate the other one and herself.

The outside cameras, the phones, the Dail bar, the Dail restaurants.
Certainly not in the Dail for what they are paid for!

They all just stay until their party is finished. Always the situation. Why should FG stay to hear this idiot go off on FF anyway?

They're gone?!!! When did Brian C leave?

They have absolutely no shame whatsoever. I don't know why I'm surprised. It's not today or yesterday they lost their shame/embarrassment.

good point, i feel, made my Pearse on the nurses. 90k spent training them for another country to gain from it when they emigrate. obviously not tied to nurses either

Very good point, also mentioning teachers and other professions - huge numbers of whom are going to be leaving, especially since the WPP1 is allowing qualified teachers to be employed for full-time work, for which they'll not be paid. A right kick in the teeth to thousands of unemployed teachers who must leave Ireland now. That part of his speech I think will strike a cord with many.

    He's still going ...

Their budget hurts the highest spenders in the economy that most... it doesn't really make macroeconomic sense.

Well one reason, it's what they are paid to do. I don't get paid if I leave work early. Fair play to the few that are there.

I like the passion. It's the type of attitude that gets me riled up and angry. The type of speaker you'd like to hear/see at marches and protests.

At the same time, as a TD he is undoubtedly getting a nice wage also.....

I liked what he said once about needing politicians who aren't just in it for the 'perks and the Mercs'..... I hope he still follows through with this thought....
