Chas confirmed to be the Sidney Prescott of Emmerdale

Robert Sugden's problems are far from over on Emmerdale next week as Chas Dingle begins to suspect that he killed Katie.

Since then, Robert has callously gone ahead with his wedding to Chrissie White, leaving his secret lover Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller) to help cover his tracks after telling him a false version of events. Katie's husband Andy has also now found her body at the farm, leaving him devastated.

Next week's Emmerdale episodes pick up directly after Andy's heartbreaking discovery, and word quickly spreads throughout the village that Katie is dead.

News of Katie's demise has a huge impact on her loved ones, but Chas's reaction is a mix of grief and suspicion as she fears that her best friend's death wasn't an accident.

Well aware that Katie and Robert were locked in a bitter feud, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) shares her theory with Aaron and her and ex-partner Paddy Kirk.

Chas's suspicions horrify her son, who immediately jumps to the defence of his on-off lover and reveals their recent affair to both Paddy and Chas.

Robert is furious when he learns of Aaron's confession, but he soon realises that he will need to speak to Chas and Paddy himself before they cause any trouble for his marriage to Chrissie.

An Emmerdale insider teased: "Chas and Paddy are both surprised by what Robert agrees to when he speaks to them, but will it be enough to keep them quiet about the affair? And will Chas be convinced that he didn't kill Katie?"

I think everyone has been given Katie a bit of a hard time. I always liked her character and had a bit of a girl crush on her to be honest! I think the storyline the past few weeks has actually made her look like a stronger character. She sensed that something wasn't right and wouldn't ignore her hunch. I personally will miss her in Emmerdale ðŸ˜ž

She was too obsessed with Robert, it really was none of her business he was cheating, she wasn't his other half so shouldn't care instead she was acting more like a crazy jealous jilted ex who still wanted him

No I don't get why Andy wanted to go back to homefarm after he had found Katie dead. Why would anyone go back to a wedding if he did not want to be around anyone, is'nt that why he did not want to go to the village with Diane?

Yeah, that was an odd one for me too. I get that he didn't want to go into the village but why would he want to stay with two people his now dead wife had been publicly arguing with.

Badly written episodes.As I said earlier, why would Katie hang around arguing with Robert when she had all the proof she needed of his affair?

Andy asking to go back to Home Farm was just a clumsy way for him to stay around Robert. Chrissie was being a right pain for a while but redeemed herself by sending the cop packing.

Has anyone noticed Aaron being so upset and wondered why? He was hardly Katie's best friend.

Ya. That's what I thought he was doing but then he admitted that he texted Katie to come and was in on it. And he did it without much persuasion too. Defeats the purpose a bit. Robs not gonna be any less pissed just because Aaron didn't take the actual photo. He still lured Katie there and therefore played a part in the exposure. Would have made more sense if Aaron appeared shocked that Katie was there or else left her out of it altogether.

I was thinking that myself, he seems to have no problems in the bedroom with Chrissie (we've been shown them sneaking off together a good few times) so I'd agree, I think he probably is bisexual rather than gay.

i think it is very obvious he is bisexual!! Which is why the dialogue in the storyline is a bit silly, just like the whole story itself. What age is he, 30? He didnt just turn fully gay after being a womaniser all his life! I hate that they have just turned Aaron into some pathetic desperate 1diot slave to Robert. He has a far stronger mentality and personality but he this story has him acting like an 1diot.

Have to disagree with this part. I think it just shows how vulnerable and wanting someone to love him, Aaron really was. Which would make him believe in Robert and act maybe in a way he wouldn't normally do?

Has he had anyone to really love or care for him since Jacksons death?

I think the actor is able to bring a bit of duplicity to the character. From the violent thug to the softy who bonds with the little girl. I hope they can take his character in different directions. I reckon himself and Chrissie will get it on at some stage.

this is what i am talking about! People say it is "love"........... I would say it is simple minded. And the old Aaron isn't that stupid and he definitely wouldnt be fooled by a slimy g1t like Robert SLUGden. A case of making a plot and altering the characters to suit it...

1. Robert becomes bisexual
2. Aaron becomes an 1diot
3. Katie becomes an obsessed Miss Marple
4. Andy spontaneously makes up with the man who TWICE tried to sabotage his relationship and has admitted he hates him
5. Chas falls out with Katie for no reason at all
6. Katie jumps on the high horse (pun intended) and condemns Robert for an infidelity despite the fact she was having an affair with that very man when she was meant to be marrying his brother
6. Chas ignores all her infidelities and jumps on the high horse Katie left behind and condemns Slugden's affair with Aaron
