The CA-AUG A1 is a lovely bit of Kit.
I originally had the JG civilian version of it but simply wanted
the military version of it cos its Irish Army issue.

    Differences were:
    325 Euros vs 120 Euros
scope vs no scope and rail only
    black vs olive green

Other than that I "felt" the build quality on both the
cheaper JG and the more expensive CA were more or less
equal. with good points and bad points canceling each other out
    therefore both remaining equal!!!!! :D

I don't care about internals and motor so cant comment! (Sorry)

It came without a battery or charger even though there was a sheet of
paper with instructions on how to use the exclusive hyper battery
there was no compartments in the box to suggest that it should have
    come with any.

The User manuals cover has a background photo that features
Irish reserves with real-steal AUG's. Pretty cool.

The First thing you notice with this is the optics, when you look through the
optics on this its almost exactly like the Real thing but less eye relief.

This baby can simulate a basic field strip (apart from the breach block unit)
you can take out the barrel and take off the receiver units without tools.

The barrel is long and of good quality and solid. The outer paint work
it good quality and semi-matt black. It does look like it wont chip like the
    paintwork on clones.

The cocking leaver works and locks but its a weak spring and does
not feel real but this is not an issue as its an AEG and not real steel
and the cocking handle serves no function on the AEG.

Did I mention the Optics....yummy yummy yummy.

One disappointing thing for a higher prices AEG was that the stock hi-cap
mag that came with it was a lemon. It would not wind at all and was fecked.

The Colour is Olive Green it almost the same colour as real steel but
something is quite not the same. A slightly different tone.

Its a very solid and heavy aeg when stripping it its more difficult to strip than
the cheaper JG version and also the parts dont fit as well as the JG cheaper
version. In my opinion if you can afford the CA then buy. If you cannot
then the Jing Gong version is perfectly OK. (civi model)

When you take off the receiver and try to put it back on again
it can be a bit of a pain in the ass.

The battery compartment will only take a mini type 8.4v battery.
It is covered by a rubber butt plate.

It fires at an almighty speed. Out of all my AEG's the sound of this one
firing is distinctly different. It fires and the crack you hear as you fire
seems very sharp. It tore through a cardboard box and a plastic flower pot.
I used to have a borrowed chrono but I dont anymore so cant tell
    what FPS shes pumping out.

I did have some misfires where no BB's came out at all. (quite a lot)
This did not happen on the cheaper clone version the JG fired flawlessly.

When test firing it, it sometimes double fired or went to auto when
I ment to fire single shot only. Again something that did not happen
    on the cheaper JG version.

After firing on automatic when I stopped I noticed that one or two
BB's just dribbled and fell out of the barrel something that did not happen
    with the cheaper JG version.

I am not biased towards the Jing Gong version of this AEG
as I do actually prefer the CA version looks and feel wise but in fairness
there was ZERO issues with the JG when I bought it and I have heard
nightmare stories about the CA version on different web pages with regards
to firing and a horrible problem which involves the CA AEG trigger problem
where the AEG gets locked into firing on full auto with the only way of stopping it being unplug the battery. There is a fix to this issue
which requires a wee bit of googleing. Hopefully it wont happen to mine.

Pics below: Sorry if some are fussy its coming into winter
and the light was fading and the digital camera was struggling
