Heya Swiss, Im a Ist year BBS student, so far so good anyway.

The modules are pretty good, Accounting can be a bit tricky, and I did it for the LC, so you do need to work at it.

If you have John Heneghan for it, then it will be a major "no messing about" module, he is pretty strict about punctuality and talking in lectures, so, just don't get on his bad side, he is actually a really nice guy outside lectures.
Beware of the Case Study, you will be racking your brain over it, jsut to warn ya.

Communications isn't too bad really, alot of it is common sense, just do a good presentation, and learn all your fallacies and stuff, and you should be ok.

Management, not too bad, problem is the final exam is the full 100% in MCQs, while that might not sound too bad, there is a fair bit of material to learn, so don't leave it all to the end.

Business Information Management 1 (BIM), not too bad, the lab assessments are pretty tough, exercises on Word and Excel, the exam, I'll be honest was pretty easy. Hardware, Software, security, the Internet, etc.

Microeconomics, it is a pretty tough module, a lot of graphs and equations, the tutorials do help with it, but you do need to pull your weight, if you're doing Economics, then it should help, I think, god knows it could have done wonders for me :pac:, I managed a B2 in it though, so it should be ok.

Overall it is a pretty good course, the lecturers are really good, and most of the coursework is pretty fathomable.

Just keep track of notes, and pay attention in lectures, especially Acc. and it should all pay off!!:)

Also, Semester 2 seems ok so far, John Walsh for BIM 2 seems like a laugh, :pac:.

Hope I could be some help. Best of luck in the LC!!

Let me know if you want anymore info!!
