Me too, love her hair! I am naturally fair/mousey colour and dye my hair a blonder shade. I did dye my hair auburn before though, it looked like the 3rd pick colour, and got nothing but compliments. I think it probably suits me better than blonde.

I went red - I went to the hairdressers and a couple of them sat down with me and discussed different shades. you should do that too if you have one you trust
I'm also dark brown & pale, went for a nice light-ish red. A bit like Acorn's 2nd photo, maybe a touch lighter0 -

Love the auburn colour (my natural colour) and i'd say it will put a lovely sheen to your brown hair.
This is the red i have in my hair at the mo...
I have auburn hair too, just wondering if you use a semi permanent colour to achieve that shade?
If so how do you find it, as it washes out? Does your hair go back to auburn?0
