Hi all, We will be moving the site to an updated platform today. This thread is the single place to track status and report anything that looks broken, so please keep issues here rather than scattered across the site — it makes it far easier for us to work through them. WORDLE
Anyone doing it? I never do crosswords or anything but I've become semi addicted to this even though I'm not great. After thirteen days I've a 54% success rate. My longest steak is 3 and my quickest guess is line 3 (twice). Was stuck on it for over twenty minutes one day but still couldn't get it 😞

PPTSB and the transfer of money for a firearm.
Went into the local PTSB bank on Friday to transfer £2750 to Intershoot in Northern Ireland by Swift. It's for a new Walther KK500 benchrest rifle. Intershoot never got the payment. Phoned PTSB up today to be told they won't send the money because it's for a firearm. Cost me €35 in fees. I'll try to Revolut it the money…

World Cup 2026 After Hours Thread
Seems a bit weird but the 23rd World Cup tournament kicks off next week when Mexico take on South Africa in Mexico City Thursday night, I'm largely apathetic because of all the bullsh1t surrounding it, that and the 48 teams making it very bloated and drawn out (5 f*cking weeks) nearly goes on as long as the Rugby WC. The…

General Irish politics discussion thread
There doesn't appear to be a thread for the day to day news in Irish politics, much like there is for British politics. I used the search feature but couldn't find one - mods if there is one feel free to merge this into it. The big news today is that Sinn Fein have pulled further ahead. 15% up on both FF & FG in the latest…

Interesting Maps
I have had a huge interest in maps and geography since I was a very small child - I am generally fascinated with the way places and routes are related to each other in spatial terms, and I could pore over a good map for ages. So here’s a little thread on maps that I find interesting and fascinating - some represent data,…

How do people actually find secondments in civil service or public bodies?
I'm hoping to get some advice from people who've been on secondments. In the last 18 months, my HR (a public sector org) has only circulated one secondment opportunity, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something. How do people usually find out about secondments if they are in a public sector org? Are they normally…
