Anyone interested in starting a band in the Dundalk area? I'm 21, and I've been playing guitar for about 8 years now, without ever having played in a band, so I think its about time I got involved with one.

I'm a pretty accomplished guitarist, and my major skill is that I can play almost anything by ear within a very short space of time. i.e. I'm good at picking up other people's stuff quickly.

I have tried writing my own stuff, but it seems to come out very depressed, although I wouldn't describe myself as depressed. Some of it is alright though. My major influences include Tool, The Darkness, ACDC, Mansun, Metallica, etc. I also like listening to some lighter folk-ish stuff from time to time. I also own a drumkit, so practicing at my place is not a problem, as long as it is before 9pm.
