Should residential property be taxed? Similar to commercial rates or based on household size / income? At the moment house owners get mortgage interest relief (MIR) and don't pay CGT when selling their home, which is quite a regressive tax regime and completely unfair as it directly benefits the rich. Perhaps CGT relief…

Table 13 Page 60, the style of household is still very much (75%) parent(s) with child(ren). The single person / people living alone or in non-family househoulds is only 13%.
