worth getting planetside?

im on a 56k modem at the moment and will be for a very long time (a few years till i get dsl or whatever out here or we move somewhere else) so would it be worth getting planetside? i was also thinking of picking up eve online. anyone played eve? oh and my specs are grand for the 2 games
