How does one get to be involved in the IOFFL scene or part of the committee?

    - Can you tell me how to get to Carnegie Hall?
    - Practice, man, practice.

Seriously, though. There's no IOFFL "scene", just a bunch of like (and not-so-like:)) -minded people doing what they can to get affordable internet access. That can be through lobbying your TD, Local Authority, Chamber of Commerce or what have you to find out what's being done about it. Here's what we, the committee, believe needs to happen to get ourselves out of this mess - take it to your public representatives, spread the word. Kick up a fuss. If you've got ideas of your own, let us know right here. Time and again we've take the lead from suggestions here and have gotten results from it. Time and again, people here have made companies change their services, change (willingly or not) their advertising, change their attitude. We've had text lifted from here and appearing in press releases and "expert opinion"!

As far as joining the committee, you can volunteer at the upcoming AGM, of which more from Ray when he's back online...
