I upgraded a PII 300Mhz machine with PIII 500Mhz I found in a skip, I flashed the Bios with the latest release but still can't rate the CPU any higher than 333Mhz. Machine works fine and seems faster but doesn't report the true speed. Any ideas what to do next, or will I need a new mobo>?

it probably only supports a 66mhz fsb instead of 100mhz. So (500/100)*66 = (roughly) 333mhz. So I'd guess you're stuck with that unless you can up the fsb.
