Problem with C&C:generals...

    Okay so generals' videos are really choppy and the game isn't as fast as it should be.
    I bet you're think you're saying shutup neohoki you must have a **** pc.
    And i say but its
    2.53ghz and
    512mbram and a
    64mb radeon graphics card(i know it isnt all that great)
    So what could be making it so choppy...?

    Same happens to me and ive a roughly comparable machine
    2.2GHZ P4
    512mb RDRAM
    NVIDIA 64 MB DDR Geforce 3ti 200
    If you close down all non essental programs that run on your machine before you start a game it usualy helps but it can still be a bit dodgy now and again.

    I used to get that problem at the opening bits then it would be fine after about 20 secs. Hard drive died a week later.

    same wit me im runnin:
    athlon xp 2600+
    768mb pc3200 ram
    asus a7n8x deluxe
    geforce fx 5900 ultra 256mb (aw yea :D)

    but it only stutters on the little video at the main menu and only for about 4 secs then everything's a beaut...
