Why do apple trees grow apples?

Do you think they aware of large animals that will eat the apples and throw away the butt, in doing so, spreading their seed for them? So that would make them very cunning in the way they think. yes/no? if they are that clever should we respect their feelings or what?

Or are they just programmed to grow apples and don’t know dick? But then who or what programmed them in the first place? And if they were and there was/is someone/thing doing this stuff for us are they just toying with us? How can we trust them if they never show their self’s to us, what is it they are hiding? so many why's and whats....

or maybe you know another reason why they might grow apples, so lets hear it :ninja:

Two, in fact. Firstly, when an apple rots, it provides a fertile bed for the seed inside to germinate within.

Secondly, and more importantly, apples are edible for large omnivores and herbivores, which consume them and then pass the seeds undisturbed through their bodies. If you eat an apple whole, without throwing away the core, the seeds won't be damaged by your digestive system and will pass right through - which isn't much use to the apple tree if you proceed to dump it into a city sewerage system, but in nature, this helps the tree by spreading the seeds a long way from the host tree. Plus, animal dung also makes good germination bedding for a seed.

.... Plant biology 101 on the After Hours board, I /must/ be bored this evening :)

I don't know what ur idea was when postin' this thread....(especially in after hours):confused: and I'm quite worried...
but im bored and I'll just play along.
apple trees, like many other plants/trees adapt to the enviroment wit their own way of spreading the seeds (so I suppose they know what they are doing), they spread them using animals. they produce fruit knowing the animal will eat them and travel far from the tree and sh!t the seeds out in a different place.they do this cause if they didn't, the seeds would grow right beside the tree and eventually they area would be too crowded.
(when u think about it, they're pretty smart)

I may be flamed for this, But why is water alien to this earth?

    Is there another earth?
Where did water come from in the first place?
I like apples btw and i think they look fine on trees.
