    I gotta love these:D http://www.family.org/pplace/pi/allmusic/

Now,you can sort of understand how some parents may not want very young kids listening to obscene stuff, though IMO by the time they are at the age when they start buying CDs they ought to know about the ways of the world anyway. But some of this is priceless
Here is their view of the song Wild Honey on U2s All That you cant leave behind

Objectionable Content: That same song also gives a nod to Darwinian evolution ("In the days when we were swinging from the trees/I was a monkey").

Alright, when we hear that these people are disputing the evoloutionary theory we know that they are off their rocker. For christ sake, they edited out the word hell in one album title and even have a problem against music which endorses condom use, even if it is in a non promiscious(sp?)way.

On Coldplays Parachutes they write(BTW Im not a coldplay fan)

Objectionable Content: Just one line. The singer on "We Never Change" erroneously asserts, "I don’t have a soul to save" (see Matt. 10:28).

If this is enough to get them going I wonder how they sat through three Eminem albums, two by Dr Dre,and others by Snoop Dogg,Ice Cube,Easy E,Ludacris,Cypress Hill and, most probably the most deviant record ever thanks to the humourously sick,if not lyrically great, rhymes of Bizarre,D12s Devils Night.

They even give Justin Timberlake a rough review FFS:D Its hard to find a record there with no criticism.
And I dont know what it says about me but I own most of the CDs that got the most scathing reviews:D

Did any1 else notice after reading that they didnt credit some albums for"pro social content"even though they have it,albeit a small amount?

You also have to laugh at the irony of this review of S Club 7.
"The party songs "Viva La Fiesta," "Friday Night" and "It’s a Feel Good Thing (Buenos Tiempo)" pay tribute to friends, music and good times without enlisting drugs, alcohol......"
Obviously written before a certain arrest.

I found the concept of this guy sitting there, listening to Cannibal Corpse to do the review quite amusing ;)

Here's what they said about B*Witched:
Summary/Advisory: Last year we reviewed this Irish foursome’s debut disc with cautious optimism. Lots of pop positivity. Very few caveats. Now, with the release of Awake and Breathe, B*witched earns even more confident praise. This is a solid mainstream option for discerning teens.

    ROFL!

"Fly-on-the-wall songs such as "Penny Lane" and "" honor the daily activities of common people."Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite

.... well maybe when ordinary people take acid

    ROFL

    Objectionable Content:
...Wine flows as part of a romantic evening on "Save Tonight."

    Hide your daughters!

The Marilyn Manson ones are dead funny too.

funniest site I've read this year.

on "hooray for boobies" by the bloodhound gang:
Objectionable Content: From the CD’s breast-obsessed cover art to a liner photo of the band lying intertwined with nude women, this disc sets out to shock and titillate. Obscene tracks solicit oral sex from a porn star ("The Ballad of Chasey Lain") and animalistic intercourse ("The Bad Touch"). Masturbation is a common theme, involving everything from Silly Putty to pictures of livestock. In fact, "Yummy Down on This" finds the singer wishing he could perform fellatio on himself. On "A Lap Dance Is So Much Better When the Stripper Is Crying," a man pays a minor for sex and fantasizes about Jesus sodomizing Mickey Mouse with a lawn dart. Other blasphemous tracks include "Hell Yeah," which mocks the death of Christ. "Mope" is about flatulence, cruising for 8th-grade girls, drugs, alcohol and more. Hateful ranting consumes "I Hope You Die" with targets as innocent as Jerry’s Kids, a disabled Vietnam veteran and orphans having Christmas :inner (it also mentions necrophilia). The twisted "Mama’s Boy" and "Three Point One Four" are sexually preoccupied.

    and
Summary/Advisory: One of the most perverse, diseased releases in recent memory. Blasphemy, unconventional sex, anger, obscenities and substance abuse make this awful disc a no-brainer. Don’t let these Bloodhounds sniff out your teens.

these people make me sooooo angry

Charolette Church had no objectional content.

From their review of Dirt I think they like Alice In Chains. Their caution after the review is great though. "In the wrong hands "Dirt" could bring about drug use or suicide"

Just shows how smart they think their kids are. Or themselves even. Jesus!

Had to add this. It's towards the bottom of their objectionable Content thing for In Utero... but...
"Other dangerous messages involve hating enemies, committing suicide ("Milk It") and the normalcy of homosexuality ("All Apologies"). Obscene and grotesque references appear throughout. "

Now surely they can be sued for that?

    On Moby
Objectionable Content: Any intended social statement about the evils of urban violence gets lost amid the particulars of "South Side," a song about cruising the streets with "weapons in hand." The CD’s liner notes include essays that condemn "fundamentalism," "homophobia" and the incarceration of drug users. His writings support a woman’s right to an abortion, as well as his own vegan lifestyle (he doesn’t eat, wear or use animal products). He quotes Eastern prophets who erroneously elevate animals to the level of humans.

    Chirstian bull****,

    Also on Cannibal Corpse,
A Christian alternative in this punishing musical genre is Few Left Standing.
    has ever listened to them?

I dont think highly of people who are such extreme christians they feel they must censor everything for trivial things such a lyrics of a song.
Anyone who thinks a kid could be brought to suicide through a song should look at how they themselves are being controlled by their beliefs rather than living with them.

    Artist: Ice Cube
    Album: The Predator
    Genre: Rap
Reviewed By: Bob Waliszewski and Bob Smithouser

Pro-Social Content: On "It Was a Good Day," Cube is thankful for a day without killing. He criticizes the indignities of prison ("First Day of School") and de facto segregation ("Integration").

Objectionable Content: Ice Cube threatens violence (including shootings, bombings and forced anal and oral sex) against targets including Los Angeles police chief Willie Williams ("Wicked"), former chief Daryl Gates ("We Had to Tear This Mothaf-a Up"), the jury that found L.A. police officers not guilty in the Rodney King beating ("Now I Gotta Wet 'Cha"), the officers themselves ("We Had to Tear This Motha-f-a Up"), the editor of Billboard magazine ("The Predator") and even the anti-gang Guardian Angels ("Dirty Mack").

Cube, formally of the rap group N.W.A., approves of looting ("We Had to Tear This Mothaf-a Up"), kidnapping prostitutes ("Say Hi to the Bad Guy"), and has no problem with sexual promiscuity that he describes in graphic terms ("Dirty Mack," "It Was a Good Day").

Summary/Advisory: While it may be important to understand the anger of Ice Cube and his peers, this violent, near-paranoid attitude should be soundly rejected. A vile number-1 debut disc that should be put on ice . . . permanently!

Run, Ice Cubes going to eat you.

Sadly they havent warned America about Ice T or Public Enemy,

I would love to have read Reviews for Bodycounts KKK Bitch and Copkiller.

Summary/Advisory: Once again, The Smashing Pumpkins specialize in obscure lyrics and poetic streams of consciousness. But on Adore, the band avoids the obscenities, despair and self-loathing of past albums. Only a few lyrical shortcomings. Still, the nudity is inexcusable.

    Now... the nudity!

    Cover your eyes children
