Im not sure what relativly low points means, but perhaps computer science is only around 300 points?
If you gave people an idea of the range they could probably help you more, also try http://www.qualifax.ie/

    <sigh> wan o' dem did-so-bad-when-they-more-den-likely-didn't types.

Don't go for a course purely based on points. I'm gonna be blunt and say that that is a pretty stupid idea. You should look for courses in a field that you would want to and like to work in.

You should check out the CAO site .

michaelanthony wasn't being funny, around 350 points is quite acceptable:

Best Six(6) subjects to count for scoring.
LCE points statistics for 2002 :

    Total candidates scoring 600 points : 100 ( 0.2%)
    Total candidates scoring from 550 - 599 points : 1,064 ( 1.9%)
    Total candidates scoring from 500 - 549 points : 2,548 ( 4.6%)
    Total candidates scoring from 450 - 499 points : 4,565 ( 8.2%)
    Total candidates scoring from 400 - 449 points : 6,604 (11.9%)
    Total candidates scoring from 350 - 399 points : 7,213 (13.0%)
    Total candidates scoring from 300 - 349 points : 6,703 (12.1%)
    Total candidates scoring from 250 - 299 points : 6,018 (10.9%)
    Total candidates scoring from 200 - 249 points : 5,199 ( 9.4%)
    Total candidates scoring from 150 - 199 points : 4,623 ( 8.3%)
    Total candidates scoring from 100 - 149 points : 4,097 ( 7.4%)
Total candidates scoring less than 100 points : 6,700 (12.1%)

    It is what it's.

its like you've known me my whole life:rolleyes:
look all i was looking for was the names of some courses, not alot of mouth flapping.

of course the ideal situation is to study and work in a field that intersets you and not to have to mold your future around the points system....tell that to the dept. of edu. not me.

I know it snot strictly speaking in Dublin but have you considered Arts in Maynooth?
Quiet a good college and you can do english etc. there

Once again have a look at this website, put in your details, and it'll give you a huge list of choices!!!http://www.qualifax.ie/qualifax_search.htm

Well, tbh, you're coming across as someone with a very negative attitude.

The point of my post was basically to let you know that it mightn't be as bad as you think.

And I gave you a link to look up courses and points of those.

Good luck whatever you do. You'll need it going by your attitude.

You didn't say whether you wanted to do a Degree or Diploma course, but here are the 2002 points for degrees and diplomas

    It is what it's.

    1. You probably did better than you thought you did, the lc fuks with your head like that.
    2. Arts in UCD? 375 last year methinks. That's realistic, and you can do the whole english/philosophy thing. Also applied languages or audio-visual communication in IT Tallaght?
    3. PLCs in Ballyfermot? Lots of arts courses there, usually want 2 hons.
