General irc.iol.ie stuff

Ok,

Sorry I havent been around much , and I know I`m replying to Dev`s and everyone else comments very late.....real life and all that boring stuff took over a month or so back , so I dont play much (at all !) anymore , or use irc .

Couple of points -

1-Dev`s crusade .
Devore mentioned that if anyone has a problem with his rules they should talk to me . It`s gratifying to see that no-one has been stupid enough to do so <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
Don`t waste your energy ....I won`t listen . I`m behind Dev 1000 % on this . In fact ...if he`s agreeable ..I`d like him to give me a hand monitor the ops in there too . See point 3.

2. Someone said something about changing the way ops are chosen in #quake .Can`t remember who .....but its not going to happen .I pride myself in being responsible for a huge growth in the number of Quake clans after I made the mistake a few months back of saying that every clan leader could have ops <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
Only I decide who gets ops ...end of story .

3.I`ve had a lot of complaints about some ops over the last few weeks "abusing" their so-called power . I use the term abusing advisedly because I`ve seen damn all evidence of it - whenever I ask for logs I either get a vague promise they`ll be emailed to me , or I`m told the plaintiff`s irc client had mysteriously decided to stop logging .
I won`t act on accusations without proof [Unless I`m in a ****y humour <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> ].
I`m also (if Dev agrees ) going to give Dev the ability to remove ops in #Quake - So be warned - Muppetry will not be tolerated from ops either . Dev ? That ok with you ?

PS - Oh yeah ....Shinji is an op now , too . I`ve been plagued by ppl asking am I doling them out and can they have them too .
