A question about overheating laptops

    I was just wondering when a laptop overheats is there any performance problems or should it be ok as normal?

    that depends on what OS is running on the laptop

    also on were the fans are.

    in some case when the system is hot is can have some problem and be a bit slower that is normal.

    a suggestion is if you tend to sit on the couch or in bed while useing it keep a flat surface with you and sit it on that that way when it get warm it will be able to vent it and wont be getting heat from you as well

    When too hot they can just turn off. In some cases its protection to prevent damage. In other words its bad!!!

    Modern laptops will slow down the processor speed, in order to reduce the amount of heat being generated..

    They also should have scaleable fan speeds, based on the overall temperature of the laptop..
