right!
im really fed of all the muppetry not going on on any q2 servers in ireland and the complete lack of foolishness and stupidity and slagging that isnt going on in irc on #quake2. when i logged into irc the other day there were about 5 ppl on (you know who you are...) and all of them, i mean all of them said 'lo wwman' or 'hi whitewash' or something similiar.
i mean.. WTF! im agine my disgrace when i had so little abuse i started hitting myself around the head with a trout. then i changed my name to [VHI]sheron just to piiss of the op there. he laughed at me!!!! laughed!! i cant believe these ppl. they have a sense of humour! i told them they were all a bunch of pr!cks and said i was going to play.
so of i go and start playin this bloke called joyboy from belfast. anyway, along comes 'the happy gang' from irc. oh yes, castor and sheron and janeymack and all the rest. not one stupid thing happened! no one slagged anyone. when i said someone was using an aimbot they cheecky monkeys laughed and suggested if anyone needed a bot it was me!
im fed up. can i play q1? pleeezzz???? im sick of the no-fighting policy. im sick of being friends. these ppl are just too nice. they even go out and buy me drink for christ sake. oh i wish q3 would hurry up so that there may be more muppets about

The management of #quake2 would like to say we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay in our channel and that the comments you have raised will be taken to heart and a viable plan of action brought in to solve and prevent such actions from ever coming to light again.We have a few ideas in the pipeline such as....
1)randomly kicking ppl for no reasion,
2)randomly banning ppl for no reasion,
3)picking on an person for no reasion and flaming the board about them and their faults,
4)making up new and impossible to inforce rules on the spur of the moment
5)inforcing said rules on a do for some,don't for others princable,
6)giving ops to people who have nothing to do with quake2 in any way


These rules are only a stopgap until more insane,stupid and extreme rules can be brought into play.On behave of myself and the other ops in #quake2 i would like to thank you for bringing this terrible state of happyness and goodtime cheer to our attention and we will do everything in our power to make sure your stay in #quake2 is as unpleasent and boring as possible.

But seriously lads - what he's saying is 100% accurate. The lads in the Irish Q2 scene are a really sound bunch, and a joy to play with. We *never* have hassles on war1 or any of our other servers, we don't carry fights over onto IRC (well, not since Obi left <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> ), there's no such thing as resetting a server, arguing over a stolen frag, kicking, banning etc etc. It just doesn't happen.

If Quake3 is indeed going to "Bring the two religions together" then I for one would prefer to stick with Q2! I want nothing to do with the utterly moronic prepubesent children who seem to infest all of the Q1 servers in Ireland.

It's been tried, anyway we've been breeding these muppets to some day be released into the wild, where they may create havoc on other channels. Can people have a look in their caches for WWMan's great message? It's called http://lacerta.../000418-000000-010599-000013.msg I think or some number less than 13 at the end will do.

Cache locations are "program files\netscape\users\whoever\cache" (have a look in fat.db hackers) or "windows\temporary internet files".
