Cheers Noelle and whoever started her playing Quake in the first place (even if it was with Gerry's Joystick <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/curlydav.gif" WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT="@B^)"> )

The thought did occur to me that as G4 is Irelands only games mag, we might be interesting in putting up some cash... however, talking to the ed, I've found that we're still on shaky financial ground (one very successful issue doesn't mean we're out of debt yet!), so maybe after another two or three issues we'll be in a position to sponsor the team for a few bob.

    Ja na,

Noelle Nagle, who some of you will remember from QP, has been in touch with me to say that HWGroup will fund half the trip to France.

This is excellent news as it ensures that we can go as the Ryanair tickets we were planning on are looking a bit dodgy.

It's nice to see a company with no links to Quake or games in general , identifying the audience as adults who play this competitively, rather then kids who are just playing space invaders.

If we present a mature image to the press then we could expect a lot more of this type of sponsorship. But only if it is an image they want to be associated with.

    DeVore.
