where to go with an injury?

    where do you go with a sports injury after you've been to the doctor and things are no better ,also does vhi plan b cover anything in this area .my injury is a minor knee problem

    Yes, they are expensive and no, you don't need to be referred.
    Don't spend too much time thinking about it, find a physio and go, the longer you leave it the longer it will take to treat.

    Not sure about the VHI covering it, though I think I remember them advertising some limited cover for accupuncture and physio sometime last year...

    find a better doctor, or insist he reffers you to a specialist.

    The doc has to make a diagnoses first, it might not be obvious what is wrong to you or the Physio/chiro.

    I have had a shoulder problem now for a while, I went to the GP, and after two weeks of chiro, the problem was getting worse. The chiro told me that it would get worse before it got better, and that is utter BS, that is not how muscle/skeletal problems work.

    I went back to the GP and insisted he do something, now he is no longer sure of his diagnoses, and has reffered me to a specialist.

    I am now still waiting for the specialist, and either my body is healing, or I am becoming accustomed to the discomfort. I hope the former.
