Devout lesbian seeks similar...

I did this during a hangover one Sunday morning.

You know those banner ads that promise you cracking looking birds if you click on the link, especially at the top of your hotmail window? Ever click one? Of course not. But I was bored and I had already read everything else on the Internet so I had a go. An idea came to me. The concept of a devout fundamentalist lesbian seemed to me to be the most preposterously hilarious idea I had thought of in a while.

I've passed this snapshot of the application I made on behalf of Mustapha Deathwish (the devout fundamentalist lesbian) around to some of my friends and they all thought it was very funny. Two weeks later, and with a different hangover, it still seems funny to me. So I thought I would post it here and see what you Boards users thought of it.

UK Match.com Customer Care unfortunately replied to me to say that this was unsuitable for their site, but that I should try posting it on a sister site of theirs called Altmatch, which is geared to slightly more risqué applications such as this one.
I wrote back to them to remind them that I was only intending to be funny and were they really suggesting that I should put this up on their other site. The reply was suitably vague so as not to get themselves into trouble, but the general jist was that I should go right ahead. I might just do that.

One final thing before you click on the link below, as a disclaimer of sorts: We are living in a very politically correct world these days where people seem to enjoy taking offense to things. Before you react negatively to this, remember that it is only meant to be humourous, so please don't get on a soapbox and flame me because you think I'm a racist. Just learn to laugh at things and don't be so quick to take umbrage. I sincerely believe that there is *nothing* that cannot be joked about.

That said, if the administrators have objections to this, I will remove it from the Boards webspace.

Actually, it is. It's fnocking hilarious. How do I know? Because my sense of humour is so finely developed. It is this which enables me to find it so riotously funny. Do you like the circular logic?

Actually, I didn't. I'm being pedantic here, but I actually selected it from a list of set options. I realise though that this subtle distinction may have absolutely no effect on your level of moral indignation.

I have to admit to using sarcasm in places earlier in this post. I didn't feel it necessary to explicitly point out when I was being sarcastic though. I just figured you would know. I've seen you use these "tags" to denote when you are being sarcastic in another thread too. If you're going to continue to use them, you should know that there is no "i" in "sarcasm". Oh, and you also spelt genius wrong, But hey - it doesn't matter because you were only being sarcastic anyway.
Sorry for having a go at you Jammy, but hey - you hurt my feelings!

Yeah - that's exactly what I was doing. It's like you were there!
But really, I do find the concept of a lesbian being unfortunate enough to have been born in a place where an expression of this would probably mean immediate death ridiculously funny.
I can understand if you don't. I'll try to post something you will like better next time!

used to have a profile in MSN of Osama_bin_Laden and go into romance chat rooms sayintg I was a wealthy but shy millionaire lookuing for love. Some people got furious. At the time I laughed at them but in retrospect maybe I could have been a little cruel, wouldn't like it if someone who'd lost someone in 911 had seen it.

Guys, read the charter - if you don't like the joke, just give it a bad rating - no more "that's crap" type of posting. Next person to do this gets a week ban.
