The Saturday edition of the Irish Times reports that the Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) is suing cable firm Chorus to force it to pay 3.5 percent of its annual revenue to the regulator. According to the report, ComReg issued the legal proceedings on Friday following a protracted dispute with the two biggest Irish-based cable firms, Chorus and NTL. Chorus is refusing to pay the cable levy, saying it is "unfair" and "excessive." NTL, meanwhile, has expressed concerns to ComReg about the fee, although it is understood to be continuing to pay the 3.5 percent levy.

Don't bother suing Chorus, just pull their license and give it to a company with a clue.
