Of all the players i know, they have a reference to one of the above. That doesnt mean the others are worse - they just prefer one.

If u want a fun, relaxing "team" game without too much seriousness, then CA is your best choice - u cant cause yurself or team damage, and u start with all the weapons - as i said - not very serious - just plain fun

For a serious team game, DM is the best option. War servers are configurable to many tastes. whether u damage who and so on.. More serious and ppl are committed more to it - more stressful but also can be more fulfilling

For those who require something even more fulfilling, with a new angle on strategy CTF is your only man. The runes and Flag capture add a thrilling dimension.

Each gametype is different, each one satisfies a different taste - The fact that ppl may play one ,more often than the other is probably on a fun basis - Quake is a game after all. Dont ruin the game - enjoy.

Zero

The problem with CA is that, because a person can't lose points/health by flogging rockets to the moon and back, the CA server gets filled with spamming, self-centred muppets who would rather fill up the DM3 centre area with grenades rather than to go out and earn the kill themselves.

What p!sses us off even more, is when ppl complain about the shaft, yet dont have any qualms about sitting in a corner throwing grenades.
For all ure information, shafting is not just an LPB thing for 2 reasons :
1) Koopa, Mickah, FB and chaos are class with the shaft and they have as bad a connect as all you, especially chaos.
2) There are countless LPBs who are crap with the shaft, it takes practise and skill to use.
On the CA server tonight, I was playin and then I let Overlord take over. He shafted an enemy excellently without gettin hit, and was called " an LPB shafting lameass " for his troubles, while all over the level our tired ears were filled with the noises of bouncing grenades, and our nostrils filled with the foul stench of a CAMP-fire.

We're gonna shaft you lameass modemers to fuccking Mars as long as you camp and spam, so live with it.

Nothing like a bit of John Shaft to sort the lamma's out! If you're an LPB, you have an advantage, but like Ronan said, it takes *LOADS* of skill do be able to use it right.

Only problem is, discharge when you've got the Quad, 100 rox, 200 H and 200 RA...
