FilmFour on NTL Digital Dublin no longer anamorphic?

    Just noticed this evening that FilmFour channel on NTL DIgial Dublin is not in anamophic widescreen any more. Its still widescreen, alright, but its being squashed down to be 'flat' like E4 is on NTL Dublin, losing about 30% of its resolution in the process.

    Haven't watched FilmFour in about a month, but since I got NTL Digital about a year ago, it was always anamorphic.

    Anyone have any ideas? My other anamorphic channels (BBC, C4 etc.) are still fine, so I'm pretty sure its not my STB being misconfigured or anything.

    Can anyone else say whether the FilmFour channel (on Sky or NTL) is displaying this problem for them?

    I noticed that UTV did that for some reason one night last week, but it fixed itself a few hours later.

    I'm sick of E4 & Sky one being stuck in letterbox when their showing w/s programmes alright.

    Just got a reply from NTL about it. It appears we may be in luck:

    "Due to an compatibility problems between the
    widescreen switching signal used by Film Four (and E4) which is causing picture
    errors on some digital Boxes. A software download will be taking place next
    month which will rectify all these problems."

    I'd be sceptical, its NTL after all. :rolleyes:

    It would be great if it happens though. :D
