I'm looking at ressurecting my A600 (somehow - working on that "bit" atm) and hope to eventually have it on my LAN at home and possibly doing something. More then likely a simple wbserver or logger or something, but it would be cool.

At the moment I'm trying to find a cheap way to get an ethernet interface for it, one which can be used with loobix/BSD/something beardy but low-load and file-footprint.
Another thing is to get a hard drive into her, possibly 40-80Meg 2.5", but even 20meg would do.
another slim possibility is some sort of media funtions (audio, speech-scripted system alerts, hopefully a serial IR reciever).

Anyways, long my travels I've found a few cool sites.
    http://www.amiga-hardware.com/
    http://net.cciinter.net/users/amigasource/
    http://home.earthlink.net/~amiscorp/AmigaConnexion.html

anyone want to donate hardware/help/advice/junkfood to the cause?
A case mod/transplant is also on the cards, would love to make it into a 1U rackmount system ;)

They're a pretty good Amiga hardware dealer in the UK, they should certainly be able to help. They also sell the new AmigaOnes, just in case you find a few hundred quid down the back of the sofa and feel like an 800MHz Amiga...:)

I've come across mumblings and hints at something called a "slingshot" hack, which i believe has *something* to do with making an ethernet (possibly 10Base-2/5) for the Amiga.

I've also fund that alot of people who actually did "work" or "developped" for the amiga (in a hobbiest sense) are naards.

    I also found this.
    My result:

Here is the result of your Amiga Purity Test.
You answered "yes" to 13 of 78 questions, with a total value of 14 points out of 85, making you 83.5% Amiga pure (16.5% Amiga corrupt).
Your Weirdness Factor (AKA Uniqueness Factor) is 34%, based on a comparison of your test results with 2268 other submissions for this test.

The average purity for this test is 61.9%.
The first submission for this test was received August 17, 2000.

Some ethernet adapter things here. I never paid much attention to the network side of Amigas, I was in it for the games, music, and 3d packages...

I *may* have a solution to the ethernet problem.
Get one of these, interface it to an 8052 (that'll be fun) and use the 8052's serial port to interface with the Amiga600.

Anyone care to donate a battered 1U case? a PSU isn't neccesary.

The other fun bit will be getting a keyboard to work.....

Any old 10Mbit NE2000 compatible PCMCIA network card should be doable in the A600. I got one working in a 1200 no bother.

If someone can supply one for cheap/free I'd heartily appreciate it :)
