Am going to try a little project with a 72w peltier. Plan is to use it with only HSF type cooling, no water or gas or anything. Plan is to machine a pure copper heatsink to fit the peltier into it and pop a fast fan on the top. Feel free to shoot holes in my plan. Will the copper melt on the hot side of the peltier? Is it…

Feel free to shoot holes in my plan. Will the copper melt on the hot side of the peltier? Is it advisable to use a coldplate of some sort between the pelt and the cpu? If so what material is recommended?

Need I worry about condensation with this proposed setup or will the heat of the CPU and hot side of the pelt ensure that I never get close to the dewpoint?
