    The Galway Astronomy Club will host a new Starparty to the yearly Astronomical calender called the "Connaught Starparty" during the weekend of the 23rd of January 2004. Being our first star party the main event will take place on the Saturday the 24th at the beautiful "Westwood House Hotel" next to Galway University (NUIG), so far the list of speakers will include
    Dr Barrie Jones : Open University : Extra Solar Planets
    Prof Andy Shearer : NUIG : The Crab Nebula and its Pulsar
    Prof Mike Redfern : NUIG : TBA
    Prof Paul Mohr : NUIG : John Bermingham (18th century
    Irish astronomer)
    One more speaker will be included. also there will be viewing (weather permitting) that night in the Grounds of NUIG
    Any suggestions, queries??
