Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

sat 26th july spi bar, eden quey 8 - 2:30

The prizes will be announced on the night, ranging from club guestlists
    to
free cd's and future dj slots at various events. Aswell as, of course,
    the
    obligatory bottl of bubbly.

    The matches are as follows:

    Perception (Damian Hudson)
    vs
    Salacious (David O Loughlin)

    Fieldog (Dave Fields)
    vs
    Ciaran Reilly

    Anto O Brien
    vs
    The Undisputed (Dave Morrisey)

    Jampotjim (Jim Carr)
    vs
    Jay Nyquist

The equipment used on the night will be 2 x Technics 1210's, 1 x Pioneer
DJM500 mixer, 2 x CDJ100 cd decks. No other equipment will be permitted.
After several discussions it was felt that this set up was the fairest,
    both
to those used to a setup more considerable than "2 decks and a mixer"
    and to
those less technologically inclined (or wealthy!)

As discussed earlier, the format of the competition will be
    4 x 40 minute quarter finals (20 mins each)
    2 x 40 minute semi finals (20 mins each)
    1 x 60 minute final (30 mins each)
1 x 30 minute victory set for the winner

Each competitor gets 20 minutes (except in the final). A klaxon or
    whistle
will designate when the first competitor ends and the second begins. If
either competitor does not vacate the decks within 30 seconds of the
    klaxon,
the mixer will be unplugged, and should this competitor advance to the
    next
round, he will suffer a time penalty of up to 5 minutes.

During the turnover period at the end of each match, the MC (yours
    truly)
will get on the mic and ask the crowd for a reaction to each dj in turn.
This will decide the winner of each match. Bearing this in mind, it is
    worth
noting that he who brings along a big crowd of supporters will do very
    well
in the competition. Those who do get knocked out, however, are
    encouraged to
stick around and voice their own opinions aswell!
