Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Melodica is back! Following our extremely successful launch night on the June Bank Holiday, Melodica returns to Club Soho for yet another instalment of futuristic melodic house madness. And head lining this time? Well - due to popular demand and many plea emails - we are pleased to announce we have once again secured the services of one Mr. James Holden. James tore Club Soho apart last time with his driving, melodic house and is sure to do the same, if not better, this time around!

His already eagerly awaited return, coupled with the excellent atmosphere produced in Club Soho is set to make this a night you won’t want to miss. As ever, proceedings will be kicked off by Melodica resident James Coakley, alongside up and coming new talent Mike Mooney – excellent local talent which is a testament to the Melodica philosophy of pushing new and fresh acts.

    ** JAMES HOLDEN BIOG

Over the past four years, James Holden has established himself as one of the pillars of the dance music community, having an impact of which many an older producer and dj can but dream. He can be relied upon to produce consistently beautiful and futuristic tracks and equally stunning remixes, which are always a mainstay of the major league Dj’s sets, from Sasha, Digweed and Warren to Tong, Oakenfold and Tiesto, with Sasha even asking him to collaborate on a track, Bloodlock, for his recent debut album. His own Dj talents have taken him round the world to places such as Japan, Russia, and the US and secured residencies at Uk superclub Passion and Dutch superclub Kremlin, as he builds a reputation for himself as as distinguished a dj as producer.

James Holden first came to the fore with his track 'Horizons' which changed many peoples approach and opinion on what 'progressive' meant. His unique blend of stretched synths, deep basslines, and soft percussion have spawned a genre all of its own, defined by some as 'Pixie Trance'. Whatever you'd like to call it, there is no underestimating this man. At just twenty-three years of age, this can only be the beginning…

"James Holden is absolutely amazing!" - Nick Warren

"Man of the moment!" - Pete Tong

"The best new talent to emerge in 1999" - Dave Seaman

”James Holden is the man” - Sasha

'Melodica' - music for your head, heart, and feet...
