Blackburn begin talks with Steven Reid

    Blackburn have made an improved offer and Reid is going to start talks soon(about £2M apparently). What does everyone think of this as a signing? Another Irish international in the Premiership and on a good team too. I think he will only improve.

    would have thought they would be looking for a left sided midfielder.

    He'd be a good signing and it would be good for the Irish team if he could play regulary at the top level.

    They had initially been lined him up as a replacement for Gillespie. Reid can play anywhere across midfield so he could be used to replace any of Duff/Dunn/Gillespie.
