So far this team is undefeated, they were good when they started but now there isnt a team out there to defeat them. I've thrown whole teams of lpbs against them to no effect. Lately I've taken to giving the opposition 1.5 mins to get tooled up and in positions... no good.
the french have a betetr team then we could possibly hope to simulate as opposition here, and with the link to UK gone to all hell we havent had a decent test yet but we should give them a good run for their money.

DeV.
ps: I'll ask nethouse about a teamie party on sat night.

In all fairness the teams against team.ie aint exactly the best

Most of the teams have been made ten minutes be4 the games loike, the french lads are a bit more put together then the make shift teams.

You're missing the point Chaos. I think we showed over the last few weeks that you can't stick 4 ninjas together and expect them to play as a team against us unless you've done some serious organization. Bear in mind we've been outpinged in every game with Tomb and I on modems, Beast on a rubbish computer and Bunny on a different machine every day. The French are deadly players but if they make any mistakes against us they're dooooomed.

Here,

lads, if your short PC's or need kick ass PII 400's to bring with yahs to france let me know asap so I can try and arrange summit.

Von, your point about sticking 4 ninjas in to play team.ie while valid is hardly worth considering if the French team is organised.
If they arent organised however they will lose badly. Team.ie has become very efficient against teams that have little or no teamplay or experience playing together.
As far as pings are concerned thats just a load of ****** about yourself and Tomb.

mmm I made this decision as the french are already on to us being a bit ok (witness funz having asked to be removed as he felt he wasnt up to the skill required).

The posts weren't supposed to embarrass anyone (god knows I was playing in them too) but a lot of people have stated that they dont think von should be in the team and other selection issues.

Thats rubbish. He's right too, with a pace modem he and the lads have systematically destroyed every unfair advantage I have tried to sneak into the games. FFS I gave 4 lpbs 90 secs free time in DM3 to tool up and get armour and be ready with quad. It's time to get real alright. This is the best team we have ever had in Ireland, I dunno if CT at their best would have beaten them. I guess we will never know.

We are giving the french a lot of respect. It's time we gave our own team a bit of respect too.
I dont know if we are going to walk on them or viceversa or maybe it will be hard fought and won but I know one thing, it doesnt make a goddamn difference if they know that we will be going for quad on dm2/3 or that we guard the RA.

Frankly if the french decided to alter their tactics now (if they have been practising at all) then I would see that as a nail in their coffin. We have 5 days to go and now is not the time to be changing tactics.

This team is unbeaten and that speaks volumes.

If anyone has a problem with putting demos up then I'm the one to argue with. I asked Von to put them up with a slightly arrogant message to send a clear message. We're coming and they had better not be relying on ninjas.

*cough* INC - DM2 *cough*

if it weren't for hittin eric with quad that one time we woulda beaten ye!

Mickah

P.S. - Beast is crap so him being there would have had no effect.

• Closed Accounts Posts: 880 ✭✭✭Von

Beast out Daa in thats what I say.

Yeh INC on Dm2 was close. If it wasnt for the equal low pings who knows. The 5 INC v 4 of us wasn't too bad . Tomb and I shoulda played on modem at your place Mick. Dunno how people manage to play with steady low pings.

Having read my post it looks awfully harsh.
It was meant as positive criticism only. Lets be real about team.ie - good points and bad.

• Registered Users Posts: 2,010 ✭✭✭Dr_Teeth

No, lets not. Lets be needlessly, blatently, wantonly and egregiously Patriotic about the whole damn thing!! Go'wan Team.IE!! KILL DOSE FRENCH FROGGY BASTIDS!! KILL!!

We can get real about Team.IE *after* their first match, when we have some facts - for now, chill! Less of the negative vibes 'n stuff.

Teeth.

I don't think posting the demos of four organised players destroying a thrown-together-team "justifies team selection", more like coach arrogance.

I didn't mind recording demos for Team.ie's private use. I'm not really that embarrased by my teams performance because I've been destroyed by better teams (FAQ, Braindead etc.) in publicly available demos, but I don't think it was such a great idea posting Tomb's POV demo with Team.ie teamtalk for public viewing. There's openness and then there's foolhardiness.
