okay....sometime soon I have to go to england, to visit my Mommy. She has just bought a brand new 400MHz Celeron..from DELL....so she now wants to be set up on the internet....and me, while I am there want to play Quake...(naturally)...BW WILL Take it.

SO... I have decided that I want to buy her the bestest, most pogable modem around.... can anyone tell what to buy her...and how much and where.... what is this PACE modem thingy?...basically, fill me in on all these new-fangeled things.

    Spanx.

    Pace56k Voice - External

Dats what i have and its rather nice. External is less hassle than internal as far as installation & troubleshooting but will cost you 20quid more (or so).

Croydon? Deadly... I sometimes live about 2 miles down the road in Purley. Yer man, 4k Ser used to play at the cybercafe by east croydon station. Anyway, I'm sure Cable and Wireless or London Cable will do it. G'luck,

    Dan
