Ste's level is pretty cool except for the Red Armour room. It's too easy to camp. And maybe too much health lying about.

Ron's new Abattoir one is a bit like UKCLDM2 but has 1 or 2 many narrow corridors. <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/frown.gif" WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":("> His iqcldm2 one is too big. It would suit the UKQFFL though.

Muso's Deathknell is also a bit big. Felt like a midget walking round it. <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/frown.gif" WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":(">

Hang on a sec. Is this feedback I'm reading!!!
Forgive my sarcasm Von. Good of you to say something but I was wondering if you were talking about the new version of Deathknell or the older version.
I've pointed out before after the release of the new version made smaller due to comments received that I thik it's now crap and I'm a bit fed up with it all.
I don't know why people seemed to think it was too big. Look at DM3 for big wide open spaces etc. Ye cant ****ing win.
In any case I think I'll do a Stanley Kubrik on it and deny all knowledge of Deathknells existence.
All future levels will be submitted to well known level review sites from now on. I need some experienced commentary not people looking for user defined levels.
I continue to appreciate people who have supported my levels like Suds and Kharn but .... well enuf said. I'm ****ed off basically. Who cares eh?

I'll get baq to ya on the Starcraft maps.

As for Quake editors - I use one called Worldcraft http://www.worldcraft.com
Musician uses Qbsp http://www.qbsphq.com (I think).
There's also Qoole and QuArK - but I don't like either too much.

As far as I know, most of those editors cover Q I, Q II and Hexen II.

Best of luck - let us know how ya get on with it!!!

From what I've heard the Q3Arena Level Editor is gonna be awesome. Basically you can get a 20*20 mesh, or whatever, and drag little bumps into it, twist it around, play with it like a towel.
BTW I'm using Deathmatch Maker II how does that stand up against Worldcraft and QBSP?
Actually I got Worldcraft with Half-life, that'll work for QII won't it?

How true...

Roll on this Map-makers Guild!!!

BTW - Anyone everlooked at the Starcraft built in Editor? I only got the game last weekend (and it rox), but that editor is da bizniss!!! I wonder if ID'll do anything similar with Q3A? THAT would indeed be sweeeeeeeeeeet!!!

I've never used DMM II myself but reviews I have read have said it's not as powerful as BSP, Worldcraft and 'aint got the frills.
I'm a dedicated BSP man myself. Bloody top notch program.
I have used Robert Duffy's QERadiant for Q2 on occasion and it's another great editor. The evidence is there seeing as Duffy himself is the main man designing the editor for Q3. See my interview in Quake.ie's pit for some minor details on what to expect.
For half-life I have been using Worldcraft because my beloved BSP doesn't work that well just yet. One good thing I have noticed about WC is that it seem to run very easily considering what it does wheras BSP can be a major drain on resources. I don't think the free version of WC can be used for Q2 or Quake but if you get it to work let me know.

As above, I think we should have votes on the current maps, ie. Musicians and mine <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif" WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
Emm...Like what ever, ye can mail me at : ron_27@hotmail.com and Say either yes/no, and ill have results like later.
And where has the "Map Committee" got to ?
And further more, Musician is right, Ye CANT ****ing win, My first map was too big, and now My second is too narrow ? and too like UK2 ? like uk2 and abattoir both look like 1 level...DM2.
