I notice alot of people are reporting issues etc.. on the admin board but very few are getting answered.

Bit disconcerting for ppl reporting issues and not getting any feedback.

Just an idea - why not appoint some trusty mods to deal with the smaller complaints and queries?

I think the issue of supermods has been raised recently on the Mods board (perhaps somewhere else, memory may not serve me correctly) ,

There are a few problems surrounding it, namely the overall necessity, if the admins are absent for a few days of the year it doesn't really justify appoining demi-gods to take care of the issues that could arise in those days. IMO.

I think he means someone who can reply on the Admin board basically Cult. Good idea. Not strictly necessary, but useful for when Admins are on holidays or taking a course, as just happened :)

Yeah that's pretty much what I mean. Somone who can answer and/or move posts that should probably be in Newbie FAQ and give advice on minor complaints. A lot of the posts are just questions about how to do things, the mod could refer any problems that need fixing to the Admins. No super-mod powers really just standard mod with the ability to post in Admin/Support, with the admins working there too there'd probably be a need for only one mod.

I read all the Admin/Support posts and usually offer a response if I can (or will often ignore it if it's very definitely to do with an area that another admin is working on a lot and I'm not up to speed on what's going on, which I've done quite a bit lately on subscriber issues for example).

Since Cloud was off for a few days, DeV buggered off to France, and I was doing a course in England I guess it was just bad timing. There's too much work for two or three admins to keep up to during the week. Do you think that it's normally poor or it was just the previous few days when you posted that?

I think, as i've said before, we need a system where by if three or four moderators individualy ban people from a forum, they are banned form boards untill an admin can check it out. In the example of that zypher guy, he was banend from a couple of forums, long before an admin got around to him. I don't think its generally poor, most crap happens late at night, early in the morning and at the weekends where very few people are even using boards. You can't be expecting people to sit infront of a computer 24/7, i only come here for about an hour every day or so and only visit afew forums. its a big place, and no one can fault anybody for missing afew things

I don't really have reason to look there so I don't know the general level of service in there, only had to reason to look when I posted and was unaware most of the admins were away so it was especially quiet for a few days.

Doubt there's any issues with it normally.

Well I guess people can post stuff here and get it answered by everyone rather than having to wait for 1-4 people or whatever to be online in the Admin/Support forum. For example I could have posted the thread about likes and dislikes in Admin/Support but got a lot more people helping in this forum which also means theres less work for admins to do in replying to certain types of posts.
