If someone moves to retire on a permanent basis to another EU country, what happens to their Irish state pension?

Does the state pension continue to increase in line with anyone who is retired in Ireland?

Or does it stay at the same level at which it was when the person left Ireland, and does not increase?

Essentially, you will receive benefit for the amount of time you worked in Ireland. I don't know the exact details, but let us say you work half your life in Ireland and half in the UK, you would get full benefits paid by the country you are resident in. I think in theory at least, the resident country is then meant to be part reimbursed by the other country.
