I tried to run jolly old Quakeworld there the other day for a larf. To cut a long story short, when I exited the program, I found my PC had entered fu(cked up land..the display had gone to the dogs and it wasnt responding. This happens every time I run jolly old Quakeworld. I'm pretty sure its somthing to do with my video card (Nvidia Riva 128) or its drivers, as I've always had problems with it. fixes?

    jolly old Hecate

What with QuakeWorld being ancient history and all, it probably couldnt cope with your up to spec machine. You know, a video card that can display more than sixteen shades of brown on half the monitor size <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif" WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

My advice to you - don't run QuakeWorld again, I mean what the hell were you thinking of??

curiosity killed the cat... I thought id give QW a chance since so many q1 players were migrating over to q2, thought id see what it was like. Plus id heard all these stories of the muppetry and spamming that goes on. Forgive me, for I am a misguided boy, QW is getting deleted as from today.
