People are going on about the terrible statee that Irish Quake is in. Personnally I dont see much wrong that a little less talking and more playing wouldnt solve.

There ARE muppets and political gossips out there, but mostly if we just play and ignore them it should be fine.

Things change and yes things HAVE changed even since I started playing but that doesnt mean decline. At least it doesnt have to.

Personally I remember the "good old day" and they werent that good to be honest.
Playing Quake in winquake on a 220 ping with only ctf as a mod! It was fun alright but part of that was the novelty, hopefully that will return with Q3A.

I hope Q3A does unite the two groups properly (or if not that, something like Tribes... or Storm Force 9 maybe! ^_^)... Because I think one of the main things causing the *****ing and infighting is the fact that the scene is divided into two by the two games, which doesn't generate much friction of itself, but does open the whole thing to bad feeling...

i think both "scenes" have got a damn sight closer than when I started out about a year ago. yeah we take the pi$$ but can someone point out this infighting? perhaps if i was on irc more i'd see it, but i play quake, thats what i enjoy, not sittin in irc.

theres very little fighting in quake2, or between quake1 and quake2 it seems to be all in q1
