Alright listen,

the internet is a joke, its a laugh, its for fun to be had and people to chat with. You may occasionly not get on with people, and argue and so on, but there's a line between the internet, and real life, a line which seperates disliking people to killing people.

Now and then the likes of Daaa etc. make threats "I'm gonna stab u" etc.. Yet we all know he's not really, he's just annoyed, a bit immature, but yet rather harmless. Sometimes situations may go further but usually our sense steps in.

Today however some likkle ****stained fukker crossed this line...

Buttmunch (Rob) - sometimes can act the ass, but a decent lad inside.
Crash - we would expect him to be another Daaa, imature yet sensible. But wrong.

Rob goes out to Blanchersdtown to meet some matees (2 girls). He's went out in good humour, no want for trouble. Crash grabs wind of this. (at this point remeber rob is a 14yr. old in an area he's never been in b4). Crash accompanied with 3 mates (ages ranging from 14-18 I've been told). He walks up to Rob and he hits him. Nothing said, no abuse passed, he just hits him. 4 of them surround rob in a circle and beat the ****e out of him. He's on the ground in bits and they run off.

Rob's lying ont he ground in place he's never been in b4, 1 lad he's only ever met on the internet and a bunch of his mates have taken harmless slagging ont he net into beating the ****e outa some1.

Now has that gone too far?
We could just say "Hey nothing to do with me, **** happens, hard luck rob" or we could do something.

What yas all think?

I think we should seriously stand back and consider what the fup we are playing at. or some of us are.

If it's true... well, I'd hope to christ it isn't true, but if it is, then this has certainly gone far too far indeed. I've always thought Rob was a real nice friendly kind of lad, personally, and this sort of thing is certainly beyond the bounds of anything that could be considered acceptable. If it's true, then I for one am on for giving Crash the same treatment Daa got - permanent ban from IRC and Quake servers.

I await confirmation. But this would be enough to really **** me off quite severely.

Anyway, way I see it, this row started over IRC, so best way to deal with it is to ban the guilty party (assuming guilt here, but I still haven't heard any other evidence other than ste's) from that and from Quake. If he's gonna get so stressed about things that happen online, it's best if that oppertunity is removed from him.

nah, if someone started slagging the total ****e outta me on irc, and _really_ ****ed me off, (and totally wouldnt stop), theres not much you can do about that on irc.. so id take it easy on irc,ignore him, but kick the ****e outta him next time i met him..(heh) but i wouldnt get any mates involved.. thats taking it a bit far just for a slagging..

If any of this is true you can consider yourself permently out of DzR Crash (he was just in the Q1 team on trial), good luck trying to play quake for another clan, you'll need it.

What he has done is inexcusable. He should be boycotted, from all clans, quake servers and IRC channels, let him in, but have him booted straight out again.
He really needs to catch himself on, get a life and sort his head out.

Rob is one of the soundest lads I ever met on IRC and Quake. He IS a dead decent lad, and I am extremely ****ed to think that a little maggot such as Crash and his MATES would beat the utter ****E outta him over a little disagreement they might have had on irc or quake as such. As yiz have said already, but I'll have to say it again, this sorta carry on is taking things too far! I am a childish **** at times myself but I do know that this is just rediculious. Crash will you ever ****ing cop on and get a grip on the difference between reality and IRC. You COULD have really hurt the guy and it could have been a lot more serious than it is right now! If this is true, Crash should be banned from anything to do with quake. Including irc quake, all servers, and all quake events, lans etc. Theres no excuse for anything like what he did and it should not b tolerated.

Servers are for everyones enjoyment but when a guy takes something personal it crosses a line. Thuggish Cowardly actions like this belittle all the work the Cloud, Eddie, Dev et al are doing on our behalf.

As of from now Crash is banned from all Quake Servers. This is permanent - I dont think too many ppl will disagree over this. All ops will be informed and I'll ask them to kick on sight.

Thickos never learn. We'll see Crash in a few years time, sweeping the streets in Blanchardstown trying to RJ with his sweeping brush...

Ok haven't said anything till now. I wanted to check out all the angles. Butt I don't really know you but you seem to be a sound lad, hope your ok now. Crash I remember warning you about your behaviour on the Indigo server and told you not to take seriously what other people said to you online (its very easy to slag someone whos not in front of you ). So Butt slagged you online, big deal, if it was really offensive you could have had him censured for it. But to go out and beat the crap outta him is unacceptable and even worse you were such a coward you had to have friends with you to help.

You are now permanently banned from #quake whenever I'm on and the Indigo servers whenever I'm on.
