You are proably correct abortion, infactside, Eugenics, mass murder, Ethnic cleansing, Human scarifies, Slavery, Genocide, Manmade famines and wars have all happen before thought human history and will happen in the future. Only technology has changed over time. The reality is that abortion is available in for Irish people whether it is made legal not makes little difference. The difference is the who pays for the abortions and that we can pretend to be a holy Christian country but with have to do any Christian to solve the problem. Abortion what problem?

At present, abortion is still illegal here, and no one forces these women to go abroad for an abortion. If they were stopped in law from being allowed to choose that route, it could then be argued that the law here is unfair, but the people have spoken.
It was never possible to stop traveling to Britian or any where else to have an abortion or break any other law. You have to have commited a crime before you can be arrested and charged. Under is Irish law you can not be arrested because you might commit a crime.
In the same way a the Gardaí can not stop you traveling to Amsterdam in case you might smoke a joint.
If the the unborn is protected under Irish law is it not just as illeagal to have an abortion in England under Irish law.
