just got broadband so want to give bf1942 a go online fo the first time. Thing is, do i have to use the gamespy yoke to play or can i just play straight from the game. When in multiplayer i cannot find any servers and cant find any options to make sure the configuration is right, im not sure if im connecting to the net properly with bf.

We're behind a wingate server but it works fine for cs, tfc and dod. Any ideas?

The in game thing is gamespy, and its feckin naff, I advise you go get all seeing eye, cant remember the URL for it, google it, it lets you search for BF server much easier.

    ASE is indeed much better.

There's quite a few good UK servers on there, with pretty good pings.

yup, as siad go get ASE and use that. Its way better for finding servers and gives u far more options and stuff. It will also be really good for using with the other games u have like CS, DoD and tfc.
