We did this at QP, the Q1 RL gives them a massive advantage. however that was in a ffa situation, if we had a team game, 1 q1 level & 1 q2 level we'd kill them

sure if you INC lads can beat HIV players in your first Q2 game, might as well have a Q2 4v4 war, HIV v INC, sunday at 8pm on q2war2. TP3, Max 2 LPBs.

Yeah generations isn't a good barometer of gaming skills as the mod totally favors the Q1 guy. Why not reverse the roles and the q1 lads play as the q2 guy etc.

Emmmm HIV lads: I dunno how many of you were Q1 players but, this is what will happen I would say. You will beat inc fairly comfortably on Q2 but they will shame you totally on Q1, the kill rate on q1 is much higher. It's a lot easier for a Q1 lad to adapt to Q2 then vice versa.

I'd be on for it for a laugh, but i think apart from me and flavorflav none of the other HIV lads have q1. i wanted to enter us in the iqcl but we didn't have the numbers. and shank i know what you are saying is true, the q1 lads would run up a cricket score v us in q1 and its harder in q2 to win by such a vast margin especialy as q1 players tend to use hiding as a tactic. Nothing like a good stir

Right so i'll have Q1 tomorrow. Its a 10er in the place down the road for all the outdated games i'll get it in that Bin by the door of the shop.

Talk about a strange thread. I think when Q3 is out and in good working condition all the Q1 and Q2 people switch over and we basically beat each other into submission.

machines that will run q3 with a _good_ framerate wont be out for a while.. im not playing any game where i get 2 fps cos its not fun

hiding against someone using fullbrights (which zoid says are part of the game) isnt a very clever idea
actually, even before we used fullbrights,ppl who hid generally came at the bottom of the scoreboard
(yes, i know, i didnt need to hide cos i was an LPB scum with a 30 ping , but still..)

Yes that would rock, i played HIV quake 2 people in a ffa in nethouse and beat the lot of them in my first ever game of Quake 2 (they complained it was a ****ed up mod i believe), so i see no problem demolishing them in a quake 1 / quake 2 game, thats what happens when u keep on switching to the new game i guess.
