    use mozilla

or you could use the new google toolbar for IE that has an inbuilt pop up killer

The new Google Toolbar has an excellent pop-up blocker built in. Haven't seen a single pop-up since I installed it.

I use Opera and know nothing of these popups, not having seen a single one since I started using it.

If you've a spare box, AdZapper with Squid is teh win. Popups, popunders, banners, flash ads, html ads, the lot.

WebWindowKiller is what I use. Not perfect, but it's free and simple to setup/use.

popup manager is really fine and integrate very well in IE http://www.endpopups.com/

otherwise you get a IE shell like myIE or avant browser that use IE core but add lots of nice options like multi tab browsing and popup killer.
That is if you want to stick with IE.

Personnally my advice would be to dump IE and get Mozilla or even better Mozilla firebird (that's the one I use).
