Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It wasn't a great start for Rubens, he's admitted that himself. If he had the chance to get around the first corner he might have been able to make it up though!
Alonso's start was the best on the grid! Absolutely brilliant!

i agree, his start was woeful, but, look to the british GP, terrible start, and he drove everyone else off the track afterwards!

Rubens is a better driver on his best days than anyone but 1 (we all know who that is)

It'd have to be my mother I'm afriad.
She's the slowest driver on earth.
It takes her 40 seconds just to get around a roundabout- I'm serious.

    40 seconds to go round,

times 5 times around looking for the sign reading "my home",

200 secs, or 3mins 20 secs, from driving on to driving off!

    ;):)

if only rubens was that fast!

Yep the ferrari launch control seems to be absoultey woeful lately ever since about monaco all ferraris seem to be doing at the start is going backwards.Alot of there slow starting could also be down to the fact the the bridgestone tyres appear to need to be at a higher pressure then the michilen hence rubens complaing at the last race about the very slow warm up lap giving rise to his poor start.Either way they should try and get back good old tad tapagiski(or some spelling to that effect) was with the DREAM TEAM in michael's bennoton and early ferrari days then went back to the boys in blue and just look at who has the best elec's on the gird......i rest my case.....

Launch control & traction control has to go.

tough totty for rubens if he is complaining about the slow warm up lap, if he wanted to control the pace of it he should have been on pole. If montoya wants it to be slower to screw the bridgestone drivers over thats up to him

If you might strain your brain and think for a min that rubens was on pole in sliverstone..........and the reason he was complaining was that they werent keeping up with his pace and thus he was forced to slow down unless he wanted to arrive at the gird 10min before the rest of them showed up

yeah the end of launch control and traction control would be great but the manufacturers want it in so they do have some weight + it would be intresting to see how good the likes of Weber and kimi and even alonso would be...without it....

+f1 is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport and it would be a bit sad to have your road cars more advanced then an f1 car....
