I'm also not officially covered on that map..
Pings aren't amazing but download speeds are usually better than RADSL, 450-550k sometimes more. I'm pretty happy with it!

They say we're going to be upgraded to 1mbit for free in the next few weeks. I have my fingers crossed..

is it any good for xbox live...do you live in the park?

  • Registered Users Posts: 463 ✭✭Emerson

I don't have an XBOX myself, but I know the wireless Ethernet Router packaging that came with the installation had an XBOX compatible logo on the front...

I don't live in the park, but I know that the further east (towards Killiney hill) you live of the N11, the higher your chances are of passing for it. This is because there are obstacles (trees and such) that block the view of 3 Rock Mountain as you get closer to it.

Now all I have to do is run a cable from work to home. I wonder how much 4 miles of cat 5 cable would cost?? suppose I could hook up a wireless network, IT might have something to say bout that though

The results are pouring in lads, we are have gotten about 600 visits over the last 2 days which is amazing for a new site.

So we are working with the results at the moment and getting some good information together for us all.

I also want to thank the boards users who reviewed their ISP's some people where having issues with the bandwidth test due to cacheing that will be fixed today. :D

    Thanks

    Tom.

The ISP location (area) and ip address will be displayed online under the ISP's name for every one to view the speed of each ISP in their area.

We can then if we want to be really clever rate the fastest ISP in your area etc..

There is a lot of work still to go over to be honest the sites only up about 2 days.

We are open to any feedback you have that we should include in our service.
