New channels added & EPG reordered

I've just after checking and most of the new channels have arrived & the EPG has been completely reorded.

Here are some problems at the moment :

Toonami is called CNX (maybe we are to get CNX soon)

The listings don't appear to be working on any of the new ones.

Film Four +1, Film Four Weekley, Sky One Mix, Sky Sports News, Scuzz, Amp & Flaunt aren't added at all.

CNX is being renamed Toonami in the next month or so.

It says CNX on the EPG but it has Toonami as dog on the screen.
It must be renamed now.

No, Toonami is the branding they have on the channel at the moment during the daytime. In a month or so, the whole channel will be branded Toonami, dropping the CNX name completely. You'll see it called CNX after 6 or 7pm tonight.

is the list of new channels added onine somwhere guys? i bleieve we are meant to be getting a load of new radio stations

I noticed some problems on some of the channels this morning (around 7am). QVC and Bravo where both "black". In relation to wrong channel names, when will they

(1) Rename Granada Plus to "Plus"
and (2) Rename ITN News Channel to "ITV News Channel"

Isn't it strange how the first two reported new channels UK Horizons and Showcase TV (which both appeared about 1 week ago) aren't on this new line up?! Perhaps NTL are planning on launching an add-on Digital Package with these and the other UKTV channels?

Unless they're planning to add these in the coming weeks/months, at least they can slot them into the EPG easily now. Theres a gap between UK Gold 2 (121) & Living (124).

I can't understand why they put Bravo into the 'Lifesytle' section though

I was wondering that myself. I know that they renamed Discovery Sci-trek to Discovery Science a while ago but left the others alone.

When I saw them two channels appearing last week I thaught they were testing them to add them this week. I doubt they plan to create a different package. I'd say they'll add the other UKtv channels, Perhaps sky travel, challenge? & some others at a later date . (Hopefully)

There's still no sign of the Sky channels yet :mad:

NTL have updated their website with the added channels and that lists Sky Sports News and Sky Mix which we don't seem to have yet.

I see they've divided it into 2 sections

(1) Dublin
(2) Waterford & Galway

There's no press release about the new channels there yet.

BTW has anyone in Waterford or Galway had their EPG reordered ??

They were reshuffled here in Dublin sometime between 1am @ 7am thismorning.

The sky channels have been added but they all have that annoying widescreen problem that Sky One youst to have (all squashed with white lines on either side when you watch it in 16:9 widescreen mode). :mad: Atheraces is also like that.

The other Film Four Channels haven't been added yet.

I thaught yez already had BBC Radio FiveLive. Its been in Dublin since NTL Digital Started.

That's a very big difference between the Dublin Line-up & Waterford & Galway's line-up now.


Anyway,
I've just after getting a reply to the e-mail that I sent to NTL about the widescreen problems on the channels.

My origional message:

Dear sir/madam,

I would like to know why there is a problem with some of the channels
on NTL's go digital package. It is not just a problem which I am
having, all Dublin NTL digial subscribers seem to be affected.

There are widescreen switching problems with the following channels:
E4,
E4 +1,
Film Four,
Sky One,
Sky One Mix,
Flaunt,
The Amp,
Scuzz &
Attheraces


E4, Film Four & Sky One are all stuck in 4:3 Letterbox mode when a
widescreen programme is on. Because it is like this you lose a lot of
the resolution when watching it on a widescreen tv. When E4 & Film
Four were launched you could have the choice of of viewing them in
animorphic 16:9 widescreen but now you don't.

When you try to watch E4 +1, Sky One Mix, Flaunt, The Amp, Scuzz &
Attheraces in 16:9 widescreen mode they are abnormally squashed in
which makes them difficult to watch.

Why is this problem occuring & will it be fixed?

Thank you for your email. I have been advised by our Regional
Technical Department that they are working on this matter and hope to
have a resolution in place within the coming weeks. It will be fixed
by doing a software download on all digital boxes.

They are aware this is affecting a lot of our digital customers and
