Do we need a code to join that league?

Joining a public league just puts the team into a random league and I tried typing Boards.ie in for the private league but it says that is not a valid code to join a league.

This site is causing me a lot of hassle.
First I was logged in as Frank Morgan (whoever he is)
I logged out, and was told p.pete wasn't valid when trying to login again.
After a while the site welcomed me back as Frank Morgan. I got into the user area and the username was set up as p.pete (funny as it didn't like that username a while ago).
I changed the details to my own but it was hanging so didn't work properly.
Next time I get to my team it's welcome back "null Morgan".

Now it says Paul Swash:rolleyes:

Yep you register first and then goto the My Leagues section and subscribe to a league and slap the code in (gandalfirl@opl_107735)

I reckon its slow because Yahoo is now a pay service one. That was the service we used last year.

Just a quick question lads, how do you get points? Is it for the amount of time each player gets or what?

Also, are there formations etc? I mean do i have to select a left mid and right mid etc or are they all just divided into defenders, midfielders and strikers??

Generally a defender on team who gets a clean sheet gets a few points + win points if they win.
Scorers get points for scoring

There is a system in the rules part fairly basic stuff but the team with the highest points wins.

You dont do formations just pick your squad and their points added up weekly the weekly winner gets bragging rights till the next week (watch this thread get a lot bigger )

Heres a tip for those looking to save a little money. Instead of having two goalies from different clubs, choose those from the same club. For example if you have Given as your 1st choice keeper pick Harper as your 2nd choice, that way you know that your keeper is guarenteed a game and you will also save money because Harper is only £3.5m.

I originally had Keller as my sub keeper for £5.5m and I changed it to Harper which gave me an extra £2m to get Michael Owen!

I think you can transfer players after you've submitted the team. Its somewhere on the right of the team sheet screen.

The league table for week one is now up which see's my team fourth from bottom with 14 points but five of my players didn't play which include murphy, owen (c), duff, sinclair and given.
