I seen the second episode of it. Generally it seemed to be a bit overdone compared to CSI. Thought David Caruso would have been better in it, but hey, it was just one ep :)

I saw the first eleven episodes of it earlier this year on Five.
It was pretty much the same as the original except that David Caruso is really annoying in it. His character really grates after a while and I began to lose interest in it because of him. Hius posing with his hands on his hips really got to me.

Having said that though, I will still watch it again once the ones I have seen are over.

I thought it was pretty good last night. Some cool touches, like Caruso walking through the crash site in his head, spotting clues. Hopefully it'll stay at least as good for the rest of the series.

Give me law & order anyday. I found CSI Miami clinical and cold. Characters were missing any personality or sense of humour. But as a series - it is watchable.

And give me "Homicide: Life on the Street" any day over this. Also great characters and humour, such as the infamous Munch (whom Law & Order can also claim!) or the brilliant Pembleton. It doesn't need "cool" flashy gimmicks to ever get my attention. "CSI: Miami" looks entertaining but nothing memorable.

Nowhere near as good as plain ole CSI.

Could have been the episode I saw though, but still...

    Didn't like the characters.

For those of you that like CSI and CSI Miami ( which I LOVE Both by the way .... CSI a bit better than CSI M ) ..... did you know that JAG ( the navy lawyer show ) is coming out with their version of this show ( or somewhat like ) it's called NCIS ...I'm assuming that it stand for Navy Criminal Investigation Science ....or some such thing ....... just thought I'd mention it :D

NCIS (you are right about the acronym) is indeed starting in the States this autumn starring Mark Harmon I believe. I assume the Hallmark channel will pick this up to go with JAG. Looking forward to it actually.
I have found myself watching JAG regularly now on Hallmark and it isn't too bad if it wasn't for all the pro US military BS involved in it. They never do a bad thing apparently...right!!!
It's funny to watch at the moment to see the lenghts they go to hide the fact that Catherine Bell is pregnant. They have made her a judge so she is always behind a desk or when standing up she always wears a big loose raincoat and stuff like that.
The Agency is also starting soon which looks promising.

Anyway to keep it vaguely CSI related..apparently there are plans for ANOTHER spinoff set in New York I think. I'm probably wrong about the city as I cant remember exactly where it was but is there really a need for three series all about the same thing?

I'm pretty sure there are 3 'Law & Order' series.

There are 3 Law and Order series:
    Law and Order
Law and Order Special Victims Unit
    Law and Order Criminal Intent

I love them all..the consistently best tv around with Criminal Intent my favourite.
However, there is a clear difference between each of them (possibly not much of a difference between the original and SVU though but big difference with CI).
With CSI, they are both the same except for cast and location.

Is there not a spin off JAG coming along and the CSI JAG is a spin off of CSI????????

I liked JAG when it first began but since then its gone down hill, there was loads going on in the first few series that they never got back to. Like Profiler with the whole JACK thing going on for way to long.

I enjoyed it last night, see Boomtown Tread.

    Law And Order
I always thought that CI was more like Law And Order then SVU.

I think the main cop in CI is very good, but very odd, but a brillant character. My sister hates that show because the main cop is in Men In Black(1) as the Farmer the alien takes over at the start.

Yes the main male cop is rather odd :) I think they might be trying to show him as slightly autistic . He's very keen on picking up on things that others have missed.

Another show I LOVE that has a very strange person (perfectionistic obsessive behavior ) for a main character is "MONK" . Because of his "problem" he is able to notice things out of the norm that others missed :)
