eircom DSL stats

today i rang eircom, and asked if their dsl stats was correct, and the guy told me that it's incorrect! he said that i couldn't rely on it! he told me to ring billing enquaries to find out about my usage, now i'll try to rings them

was their a E-mail/Letter sent to Eircom Dsl customers about this?

Surely if someone used 5 gig out of their 4 gig cap Because Eircom messed up they cant charge
